We just added a free New York City tour date for Jherek Bischoff. It features the world debut of a new 30-minute long piece by Jherek that was commissioned by Lincoln Center. The work will be performed by yMusic—a group of “six hip virtuosi” (Time Out New York) known for being equally comfortable in the overlapping classical and pop music worlds and most recently, performed on Dirty Projectors’ Swing Lo Magellan album. Deerhoof percussionist Greg Saunier will also be a guest of the evening. The performances are part of Target Free Thursdays and will take place at 7:30pm and 9:30pm on the Atrium’s Roy Furman Stage.
